ICRISAT was honored to have the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi inaugurate our 50th Anniversary earlier this year. As part of this milestone, we are embarking on a new communications program to better inform our audiences on the impacts the Institute and its partners are making to reduce poverty, hunger, malnutrition and environmental degradation in the drylands. Some of the changes include this news bulletin with the ability to now view ICRISAT news in the media, a new pressroom, a new website under development and a new dossier on the Institute, available on demand.

We will also be launching an audience survey soon to provide you with an opportunity to tell us how we can better serve your news and information requirements. ICRISAT works on behalf of the 2.1 billion people that reside in the world’s drylands and our impact on the lives of the poorest of the poor are among the most tangible of all development outcomes.
